Branding project for the Merchant, a speakeasy restaurant in Raleigh, NC.
I used historic photos of the building, local research and inspiration from historic receipts, signage etc. to create a brand and accompanying elements that paid homage to the building's roots while also bringing new life to the space. Project included a versatile logotype and icon, a full brand guide, tagline and copy options, food and cocktail menus, tile layouts and other graphic elements. In the early stages of the concept I was also able to be part of the creative ideas for the interior space and renovations.
